A Thanksgiving Greeting
As we approach Thanksgiving, let us reflect on the goodness and faithfulness of our God. This season reminds us of the power of gratitude and the assurance we have in Christ. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that surround us, we can anchor our hearts in the promises of God. Thanksgiving is not just a moment on the calendar but a declaration of our faith that God is working all things together for our good.
During these unusual days, the inclination to give in to fear and to believe the worst will happen is strong. But as God’s people, we have a different outlook. Our expectation is not that things will become worse and worse, but that we will prevail through every circumstance by means of faith in God. The atmosphere of expectancy is the breeding ground of your miracle!
Jesus said in John 10:10: “The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” The abundant life that He was talking about means life that is superior in quality and sufficient in quantity.
Isaiah 54:17 says: “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication is from Me, says the Lord.”
Philippians 4:6 says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God.”
I want to share seven declarations with you regarding your family. I use the term declarations because of the language of Psalm 81:10 from the Passion Translation: “Open your mouth with a mighty decree – I will fulfill it now, you’ll see – the words that you speak, so shall it be!”
I encourage you to make these confessions of faith over your family on a daily basis. The Good News of the Gospel will overcome all the negative news bombarding you from every direction. Make these declarations with boldness and confidence. As you do, I believe you’ll be encouraged every day and be empowered to experience the fullness of life that Jesus died and rose again to give you.

A Thanksgiving Benediction
As we give thanks this season, let us remain rooted in faith, walking in God’s promises. I leave you with this blessing from Numbers 6:24-26:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”
May your Thanksgiving overflow with gratitude, joy, and the presence of God.

7 Declarations for Your Family
- Divine Health
Isaiah 53:5 declares: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
My family and I will not be overcome by any form of sickness or infirmity. We walk in divine health, because we have already been healed by the stripes of Jesus. He bore our sicknesses and pains, and we do not have to bear them. No contagion or malfunction of any sort has any right to attach itself to any member of our family. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and they work properly, the way God created them to work. They are strong and healthy so that we can accomplish God’s purpose. The healing power of God is at work in our bodies right now. - Knowledge of the Truth
Jesus said in John 8:32: “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”
We are not unaware or uncertain of the will of God for our lives. We know what God has said and we understand our divine purpose. We will not be turned aside by the lies of the adversary or by information that is contrary to the Word of God, regardless of its source. We are well-informed, not uninformed or misinformed. We know the truth and walk in the freedom it provides. - Assurance and Peace
1 Corinthians 14:33 says: “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
We refuse to be confused by conflicting reports or contrary circumstances. Nothing will disturb our peace. We move forward with absolute assurance, trusting God to guide us through every situation and circumstance. The peace of God guards our hearts and guides our steps. He leads us and helps us successfully navigate through every uncertainty. - Confidence and Faith
Proverbs 3:26 in the Message Bible says: “No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner, because God will be right there with you; He’ll keep you safe and sound.”
We trust God in every situation. We remain calm in troubled times. We are confident that we can depend on Him, even when there is upheaval in our natural circumstances. We maintain our faith regardless of what our senses tell us. We believe His Word is true and that His directions are faultless. - Submission and Strength to Resist Temptation
James 4:7 says: “Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
We submit our lives to God in obedience on a daily basis. We listen to His voice and obey His direction. We will not be overcome by temptation, but we steadfastly resist the devil and all his strategies. We are not overcome by evil, but are delivered from its power by the blood of Jesus Christ. No temptation has any power over us or appeals to us. Our lives belong to God. - God’s Presence
Psalm 23:4 says: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
We live and move and have our being in God. He is with us continually. We fear no evil, because we have been delivered from its power through faith in Jesus Christ. God is before and behind us; He is above and below us; He surrounds us with His presence and His keeping power. We abide in God’s presence. - Safety and Security
Psalm 91:1-2 says: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.’”
We dwell in God’s abiding protection at all times. He overshadows us and keeps us safe. We are never exposed to our enemies, because we dwell securely in the shadow of His wings. No evil shall befall us, because God is our protector and provider.
