Pastor Mark Novales gave his life to Christ completely at the age of 17.
He joined the United States Army in 1989 where he would serve for 26 years.
After returning from a combat tour in Iraq he met with his best friend (Miguel) in Florida who challenged him and his wife, Wanda, to do more for the kingdom of God.
A few months later, Miguel (who was serving as a youth pastor) went on to his eternal reward in Heaven, leaving behind his wife without a husband, and their two children without their father.
After this tragedy, Mark felt compelled to attend Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA, where during his 3rd year, the Holy Spirit would challenge him to plant a church. He would go on to receive his Master’s in Divinity in 2013.
Mark fully understands the need to add life-giving churches to the city of Philadelphia, where too many churches are closing almost daily.
With the hopes of impacting the community through after-school programs, outreach, and loving people, Mark & Wanda know that God will show up and bring transformation to the Tacony community.
In addition, it is their hope to provide discipleship programs by opening a Berean School of the Bible and starting small groups within the community.
